The roughest sea or weather I have ever seen. It seemed as if the wind was as strong as that of the September hurricane. At first the surf broke only over the main deck, but later it even drenched the hurricane deck. Harold & I got out our raincapes & stayed in it all morning. Everyone was taking pictures of the spray. I was thrilled to see such a storm at sea. In the morning I was able to watch the horizon do queer things. In fact I even ate a bigger lunch than usual, but that afternoon & evening I was willing to sit very quietly & dose.
