Helen’s Diary

No Entry

Ruth’s Diary

Still a very high sea. Too cold, windy, & rough to enjoy sitting outside, so we (Harold & I) stayed in the third class lounge, read, & listened to the ship’s orchestra. In the afternoon there was a movie for us The Life of The Castles, Vernon & Irene, with Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers. There was dancing in the evening, but there were few out as it was so rough. Harold & I read until about 10- & then turned in. This is the morning I served breakfast in the rooms to Helen, Florence, & Harold. I feel quite pleased to think I have been such a good sailor in all this stormy weather.
